When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn't fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps. Think how dark our world would be without someone like Edison never accepting what he was doing was wrong. He thought outside the box and learned from every experiment he tried. What did he do – he stayed focused.
Think about what you and others gain when you do stay focused and positive. There are leaders and followers in life and people fall into natural roles for each one of these. When you are focused and positive as a leader, you inspire others, who gain from your positive and focused outlook. Reminding these people that they are a valued member of the team and supporting them, makes you an inspirational leader.
